The ProMinent Spectra pumps are available as block or bare shaft design and feature our special cardan joints. Capacities are from 1l/h to 300 m3/h. Casing, elastomers and rotating parts are available in a wide variety of materials.

Typical applications for Spectra progressive cavity pumps include chemical transfer, sludge transfer, oil dosing and metering of high capacity chemicals where a dosing pump would be too expensive.

 Nucor Steel in Arkansas and Arizona have used Spectra progressive cavity pumps for dosing of rolling oil into their steel processing facility. The oil is used to reduce wear and the oil is expensive. Therefore, a skid mounted system consisting of a Spectra progressive cavity pump, positive displacement flow meter and VF drive with PID control has been installed. The pressure is constant and the flow control system has enabled Nucor to reduce their oil consumption and therefore running costs. The complete plant was fabricated and tested at our works before prior to shipment.
